The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for closing sales, and reaching all monthly sales goals. Provide product expertise and knowledge to customers, to help identify correct products to meet customer needs. Work closely with customers, outside sales, vendors and co-workers to facilitate all sales needs.

Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

  • Identifies revenue opportunities within customers' communities through continual customer contact via email and phone.

  • Prospects, qualifies and generates sales within the company's established partners.

  • Ensures customer identification, planning/scheduling, account qualification and needs analysis at all prospect levels.

  • Works closely with partners, management, shipping and operations to ensure timely sales and product delivery.

  • Responds timely to requests from customers and engages in technical discussions with customers.

  • Meets or exceeds all targeted sales goals on monthly, quarterly and yearly periods.

  • Remains current on developments and trends within the industry.

  • Keeps management informed of all customer and sales activity.

A must...

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or 1-4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Industrial Valves experience preferred, but not required. Knowledge of various types of valves and actuators, as well as their applications preferred. Training will be provided.

  • Understanding of sales life cycle preferred, as well as experience in a sales environment.

  • Proven ability to ascertain customer wants and needs, as well as identify and place the right product for the sales opportunity.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Proficient in Spreadsheet and Word Processing Software, Order Processing Software, Inventory Software & Contact Management Software.

  • SAP Business One experience preferred.
