Applied Controls is a manufacturer's representative of industrial process controls, serving the oil & gas, refining, power, chemical, food & beverage, cement and general industry. We represent quality manufacturers of process controls in the following categories: on-line analyzers, measurement instruments, electrical controls, heat trace/heating systems.

Applied Controls is a subsidiary of FloWorks International, LLC. which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.

The Engineering Intern is responsible for gaining industry experience in Instrumentation Engineering through observation and practical hands-on opportunities in day-to-day operations with the Analytical Systems Solutions group.

Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

  • Work alongside a Senior Project Engineer and become familiar with the weekly requirements of Project Management and Project Engineering.

  • Gain practical knowledge of the tools required to meet weekly requirements of Project Management.

  • Become familiar with the Project Phases from inception to completion.

  • Put the Project Engineer knowledge gained to use by assisting with a current project.

  • Work alongside a Senior Service Engineer and become familiar with the daily requirements of field and office/shop duties.

  • Further develop relevant skills in maintaining and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment.

  • Gain practical experience of communication with vendors and customers through various avenues such as written reports, emails, and virtual meetings.

  • Build on technical writing skills for purpose of clear communication and project reference documentation.

  • Accompany a Senior Service Engineer in the field for hands-on field service duties.

A must...

  • Bachelor's Degree (eminent) in Instrumentation Engineering Technology or Equivalent.
