The Role

Presidio is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Associate Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide technical support on a variety of project-based work, including the planning, design, and implementation of Enterprise Networks, WAN connectivity, and Security solutions. As part of our mentorship program, you will gain hands-on engineering experience, develop your technical skills, and receive training to support professional certifications. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to the success of ongoing projects while learning about cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 25%. It will be based in Tri-state Region.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Project Support & Implementation: Assist with the planning, design, and implementation of enterprise network solutions, WAN (Wide Area Network) connectivity, and security solutions for clients.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for network infrastructure and security systems, assisting in the resolution of issues quickly and effectively.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with senior engineers and consultants to deliver solutions and participate in a structured mentorship program designed to accelerate your career growth.
  • Learning & Development: Participate in a comprehensive program of hands-on engineering projects and training for technical certifications (e.g., CCNP, PCNSE, NSE4)
  • Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for networks, configurations, and security protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies, best practices, and security trends to ensure the solutions provided are efficient, secure, and scalable.


Required Skills:



  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, etc.) and familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
  • Certifications (Preferred): Entry-level certifications such as CCNA, PCNSA, etc
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Learning Mindset: A desire to learn new technologies, acquire certifications, and grow professionally in the field of network engineering.


Education and Experience:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in deploying or managing networking infrastructure.
