Title:Accounting Manager, Project & Fixed Assets

Salary:$105K - $145K(DOE) + Bonus

Location: San Diego - Hybrid, 2 days mandatory onsite

Job Description: The Accounting Manager, Project & Fixed Assets, will oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of accounting and financial transactions related to capital investments. This role involves managing critical systems, collaborating across teams, and ensuring compliance with financial standards.

Responsibilities:
  • System Development & Implementation: Lead the creation and management of systems, processes, and procedures for property accounting, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with corporate policies, SOX regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Capital Planning & Reporting: Oversee capital forecasting, budgeting, and the development of reporting tools to support capital decision-making, and ensure the proper application of capital policies.
  • Oracle Projects & Fixed Assets Management: Manage and maintain Oracle Projects and Fixed Asset systems, ensuring the integrity of asset classifications, capital expenditures, project closeouts, and asset disposals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with multiple departments to ensure seamless data integration between Oracle Projects and other systems such as Accounts Payable, AR, Fixed Assets, and more.
  • Lifecycle Management: Collaborate on asset planning, depreciation forecasting, impairment analysis, and asset lifecycle management to ensure the accuracy and optimization of asset reporting.
  • Policy & Procedure Oversight: Establish and improve accounting practices for cost segregation and asset classifications to comply with accounting rules while optimizing the Company's financial reporting.
  • Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for system or process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role (restaurant, construction, or real estate experience preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Oracle or other ERP systems; advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting tools (SQL, Oracle Fusion, EPBCS, OTBI).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, capitalization, and tax implications.
  • Experience: Familiarity with capital project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
