Overview

Responsibilities

As a Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Lead with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

    Take charge of the design, deployment, and optimization of mission-critical communication systems.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the team, while driving system improvements across a global footprint.
  • Lead the design, deployment, and management of Unified Communications systems, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, and Telepresence Management Server.
  • Act as a senior escalation point, resolving complex UC issues such as voice and video challenges and call routing conflicts.
  • Oversee the management of UC endpoints, including Cisco VoIP phones and video conferencing systems.
  • Plan and execute large-scale system upgrades, migrations, and hardware refreshes.
  • Develop and enforce UC security policies to ensure compliance with DoD standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering skill development and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and third-party vendors, to ensure seamless UC operations.
  • Maintain and update operational documentation, including system architecture diagrams and technical guides.
  • Deliver regular performance and activity reports to senior leadership, identifying trends and recommending improvements.


Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree and 11-12 years of relevant experience (Additional experience/certifications will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Current Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140 IAT Level II / III certification (Advanced Cisco certifications, such as CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration).
  • Proven success in managing enterprise-grade Cisco UC systems at scale, preferably in a DoD environment.
  • Expertise in CUCM (v11.5+), Cisco VTC codecs, VoIP endpoints, and Telepresence Management Server.
  • Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP) and Quality of Service (QoS) principles.
  • Familiarity with integrating UC systems with third-party tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams).Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and troubleshooting abilities.


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $129,800.00/Yr. - USD $216,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
