Position Description

Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Support administratively the coordination, planning and facilitation of International Student Life events and programs to include marketing and promotion, making reservations, coordinating logistics and facilitating of events and programs.
  • Attend and assist with all International Student Life events, programs, and trips.
  • Serve as primary advisor to international student groups such as Students for Global Connections, and support programs like Global Guides.
  • Support the preparation, planning and execution of semester and program calendars, and assist with International Student Orientation and Graduations.
  • Support programs such as, but not limited to, airport pickup, Cultural Exchange, Cultural Ambassadors program, & Global Buddies.
  • Assist with purchasing of event supplies and promotional materials.
  • Assist with the ISL general email account.
  • Support Program Coordinator with quantitative measurement metrics and assist with program reports.
  • Assist with marketing, such as updating the ISL web pages and social media accounts as needed.
  • Serve on the TPEG and EMT committees that support international students in need.

  • Support the growth of the TTU international alumni network.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for the required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in area of expertise or closely related area required. Experience in planning, developing, or implementing programs/projects or research. Previous work experience with international populations.
