The Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating, engaging in, and providing oversight of projects, budgets, processes, and the policies and procedures essential to the success of global and departmental programs.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital invites applications for a Program Specialist position to join the newly established Center of Excellence in Neuro-Oncology Sciences (CENOS). CENOS aims to address foundational biological questions and drive clinically impactful discoveries to advance knowledge and enhance survival outcomes for children with malignant brain tumors.

The Program Specialist will assist in the execution of research meetings, symposia, seminars, and support multi-institutional collaborations. Assist with program data analysis and management. Support faculty and staff efforts to secure external grant funding.

A successful applicant will have exceptional organization skills, have some experience planning and executing projects from start to finish. Also, have excellent written and oral communication and interest in being part of a team and supporting experts in neuro-oncology.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer program or projects, including research meetings, symposiums, seminars, and multi-institutional collaborations.

  • Develop and disseminate communications regarding the program or project.

  • Resolve program-related and/or project related issues.

  • Track program progress, adoption, or performance and provide ongoing reports to leadership/program sponsors.

  • Track and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations.

  • Support program by identifying process improvement opportunities; Execute program initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.

  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelors degree required.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Requirement: 1+ years of experience in program coordination.

  • Some experience/knowledge in working with project planning tools like MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office is a plus.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $60,320 - $105,040 per year for the role of Program Specialist - Center of Excellence in Neuro-Oncology Sciences (CENOS).
