The Role:

Our site in Decatur, TX is seeking aMachinist I to join our team.

HOURS OF THE POSITION ARE 3:15PM-3:15AM THURSDAY-SATURDAY AND EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY, OT EVERY PAY PERIOD

Perform tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials. Will program and set-up a variety of CNC mills and lathes to produce parts and molds for a variety of industries.

What You'll Do

• Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructions.
• Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties)
• Operate powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment.
• Perform machine setups and/or operate equipment that is setup by more skilled operators.
• Complete machining tasks within a customer job.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality products.
• May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

What We Seek:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawings.
• Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods.
• Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
• Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
• Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus;
• Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
• Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical.
