Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.

About the Department and/or College

Texas Tech University K-12, a unit of the Texas Tech University Online division, is a state-approved online kindergarten through 12th-grade school that has been meeting students' needs for more than 25 years.

Affiliated with Texas Tech University, a Carnegie tier-one research institution, TTU K-12 boasts a rigorous curriculum that allows students to work ahead, make up failed credits, and achieve their goals from wherever they are.

Texas Tech University K-12 is a Candidate for Accreditation with NCA CASI, NWAC, and SACS CASI.

TTU K-12 began in 1993 as a "Special Purpose District" designed to help students whose educational needs were not adequately met by traditional school districts. Since then, we have grown to serve students across the country and more than 70 nations around the world.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Develop and document the project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, clients, and team members to facilitate communication.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth progress.
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring adherence to goals.
  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenses to avoid overruns and ensure cost-efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, updates, and decision logs.
  • Oversee and approve project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Address and resolve project issues or conflicts, escalating critical matters when necessary.
  • Manage changes to project scope, timeline, or budget, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
  • Conduct regular team and stakeholder meetings to provide updates and align on progress.
  • Optimize resource allocation to ensure all tasks are adequately supported.
  • Close out projects by obtaining final stakeholder approvals, documenting lessons learned, and archiving records.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus three years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal seven years.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years experience digital curriculum publishing in K12
