Specialty Pharmacy Clinician

The Multi-Specialty Support Pharmacist is an advanced practice pharmacist responsible for assuring optimal drug use outcomes in high risk, high cost or complex patient populations. She/He applies specialized knowledge of pharmacotherapy to direct patient care, teaching, and consultation. She/He participates as a contributing member of ambulatory care teams such as rheumatology, neurology, infectious disease, dermatology, and gastroenterology. She/He provides clinical, pharmacy, and medication expertise in each area including policy development, pharmacy operations, prior authorization support and medication therapy outcomes.
