The Research Development Team within Accounting Services is an innovative team dedicated to completing strategic initiatives for research administration and is seeking an initiative-driven individual to join its collaborative team. As the Research Development Research Administrator I, you will assist with developing collaborative projects and participate in a culture of creativity and innovation.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Administer comprehensive post-award support of university-sponsored projects and collaborate between institutional constituents (primarily principal investigator and college/department staff) to gain efficiencies, enhance information systems, and provide excellent customer service using best practice techniques for managing sponsored projects.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining internal and campus-wide Cognos reports to analyze trends and monitor compliance and performance.
  • Assist in developing and delivering internal and campus-wide training programs for principal investigators, research faculty, department grant administrators and Accounting Services Research staff.
  • Administer assigned Research Development team projects to achieve turnaround goals and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1 year experience OR combination of education and experience to equal 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications

Business-related degree, CPA or candidate, CRA/CFRA/CPRA or candidate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel training or experience; Ability to identify problems, evaluate options and implement solutions; Ability to communicate effectively in writing for the needs of the audience; Experience in research administration (including Federal regulations and institutional policy); Experience working in TTU specific systems (Banner, FiTS, TechBuy, BRS, Cognos, etc.); Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Pay Statement
