The Office of Medical Education in the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks an Education and Outreach Specialist to complement the existing team and provide support to the Student Resource Center (SRC). The SRC houses the Director of Academic Enhancement, Medical Education Learning Specialist, Director of Medical Student Wellbeing, Director of Teaching Assistant Training Program, and works cooperatively with Staff Psychotherapist at the School of Medicine. The Student Resource Center Specialist works closely with the faculty and administrative leadership of the SRC to support the health, wellness, and academic success of MD students. The SRC Specialist is responsible for the development, delivery, administration, and evaluation of educational programs. The SRC Specialist performs all the duties of an Education and Outreach Coordinator and operates with additional authority, independence, or level of complexity. Education and Outreach Specialists are accountable for the success of the educational programs they administer and ensuring that their programs fulfill the overall goal or vision of the organization. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule and may occasionally require working some evening hours in support of programmatic events. Anticipated Hiring Range: $50,000 - $60,000, commensurate with education and experience. This is an EXEMPT level, benefited position.
