Mechanic II

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs the removal, repair and replacement of various motor coach parts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Removal and replacement of radiators, water pumps and coolant hoses.
• Removal and replacement of alternators and regulators.
• Removal and replacement of steering components and hoses.
• Removal and replacement of brake drums and shoes.
• Removal and replacement of liquid and air filters.
• Removal and replacement of suspension components.
• Removal and replacement of gauges.
• Removal and replacement of lights (interior and exterior).
• Removal and replacement of wheel bearings and seals.
• Removal and replacement of door assemblies and controls.
• Removal and replacement of electric motors.
• Removal and replacement of pneumatic valves.
• Removal and replacement of control cables and linkages.
• Assigns/directs coach movement to Garage Helper/Bus Washer with proper CDL.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years' experience
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (with air brake and passenger endorsements).
• Must furnish all small hand tools required to perform the functions specified above. Generally, this includes all tools at and below a " drive level.
