Job Duties:

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretarywho under general supervision and according to established procedures functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. This position acts as a nursing assistant and unit secretary within the Labor and Delivery space, answers the door for our L&D visitors, completes delivery logs, orders L&D supplies, and also assists with OB Tech duties. This position can also float to our other areas to assist as a Nursing Assistant if needed on 4A and NICU.

About the Unit:

Labor and Delivery is made up of eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring capabilities. Natural birthing options such as nitrous oxide, laboring tubs, and birthing balls available. On average, there are around 1,000 births annually.

Qualifications:

BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Previous Nursing Assistant experience required.

High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.

Previous experience as an OB Tech strongly preferred.
