POSITION DESCRIPTION The Line Service Supervisor reports to the Sr. Line Maintenance Manager or the Director of Maintenance and is responsible for the supervision of all Line Service Techs and the associated activities at Honolulu and outlying stations pertaining to aircraft and ramp services. The Line Service Supervisor is considered a working supervisor able to lead by example, perform work with the team, and prioritize safety. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned): * Provides all employees with an environment of trust, mutual respect, courtesy, and opportunities for growth by providing mentorship and guidance. * Is responsible to the Line Maintenance Manager for the implementation and procedural enforcement of Aloha Air Cargo's maintenance department policies and procedures through the supervision and direction of Line Service Technicians. * Supervises and able to perform all work of the Line Service Techs including: pushback of aircraft and equipment; engaging and disengaging of air-start and ground power units; connect and operate electrical and mechanical devices required for ground servicing of aircraft; cleaning of aircraft parts to include aircraft wash; setting up of general service equipment - generator carts, aircraft stands. * Ensures proper distribution of manpower for work performance efficiency, flight schedule compliance, and the attainment of Airworthiness. * Receives positions and dispatches aircraft, including aircraft push back procedures. * Supervises and guides Line Service Techs in investigating and correcting sources of trouble on Company aircraft and spot checks their work to ensure compliance with all specifications and safety standards. * Responsible for decisions involving employees and services being performed under his/her supervision. * Recommends and submits suggestions for obtaining equipment to perform maintenance work in an efficient and economical manner and instructs subordinate employees in its use. * Is responsible for all property, equipment, parts, and materials at the assigned location. * Makes certain that all safety and accident prevention measures are being fully enforced and revises and corrects such procedures, as warranted. * Shall be responsible for any additional duties delegated by the Line Maintenance Manager. Education and/or Experience * High School equivalency and 4-year degree in a technical/aeronautical field or equivalent work experience required. * Must possess a valid driver's license, clean driver's abstract and must be able to obtain ramp and movement license. * A current FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate is highly desired. * Two (2) years air carrier supervisory experience preferred. * Five (5) years air carrier service or maintenance or equivalent experience required. * Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. * Able to work in a team and hold direct reports accountable in a fair and equitable way. * Able to work various shifts as needed. * Proficiency with MS Office and TRAX preferred.
