Epidemiologist I- Full time - Research Design & Analysis

GENERAL SUMMARY:



  • This position will directly support the Vanguard research study which is part of the Cancer Screening Research Network.
  • Experience with clinical workflows or a strength in integrating operations within a clinic preferred.
  • Ideal candidate is able to direct the day-to-day work of the research assistants and coordinators on this project, keepings them motivated to meet the project targets of this prospective research operation.
  • Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI, or Co-I coordinates epidemiologic studies. Assists in the design and planning of studies, oversees database development and management, and aids in the analysis of data.
  • Responsible for various tasks associated with the recruitment of study subjects and acquisition of data for biomedical studies.
  • Trains and oversees study personnel.
  • May be expected to present an abstract at a national scientific meeting.
  • Expected to participate in journal clubs and keep current with epidemiological literature and methods.
  • May assist Investigators in development of abstracts, posters and manuscripts.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • Master's degree required.
  • Master's degree in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology or related field preferred.
  • Literacy in computer software programs used for data management and analysis.
