Overview

VTG is seeking a Program Analyst to provide program support to the NAVSEA 05H Strike Force Interoperability (SFI) Program Manager through the support team in Washington, DC. The team is responsible for all programmatic and financial management support required by the SFI program within the planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) process. It includes all actions required by the program objectives memoranda (POM) process, development and maintenance of all program financial management information required by NAVSEA, the program sponsor (OPNAV N96), FMB, and the congress, to include recurring reports, responses to inquiries, facilitate contract executions, and close coordination with all NAVSEA SFI division directors, pillar leads and supporting performing activities in the execution of the program. Execution of this task requires close, independent liaison between the support team members and all activities supporting the SFI program. It also requires the support team to be responsive to unplanned, short notice requirements established by the SFI Program Manager. This is a hybrid role.


What will you do?

The Program Analyst will effectively implement and ensure that the Government's high standards of performance are met, to include, but not be limited to contractual requirements and timely delivery of high-quality products related to the NAVSEA 05H Strike Force Interoperability program. Specifically, the Program Analyst will assist the program support team leader in coordinating team efforts to:

  • Provide guidance and oversight to collect, review, and analyze information in order to make recommendations to the Government.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, organizing, and executing of meetings, events, and off-sites.
  • Support program reviews and conferences.
  • Develop and review briefing materials and process documentation.
  • In the course of preparing recommendations, understand the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.
  • In support of individual SFI program managers, perform requirements traceability analyses that ensure all requirements are accounted for, and no unnecessary requirements have been added.
  • Review current processes and recommend process improvement efforts.

Do you have what it takes?

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required or four (4) years of experience performing administrative, analytical, and research functions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Past experience recommending process improvement to GOVT organization.

Preferred skills:

  • DoD secret clearance.
  • Work towards a lean six sigma belt certification.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $60,000-$90,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range
