Climate First Bank is a Florida Benefit Corporation, state chartered, FDIC insured commercial bank. We are the first commercial bank with a mission of reducing atmospheric CO2. Climate First Bank is the third bank started and scaled by serial bank entrepreneur, Ken LaRoe. Having started and sold Florida Choice Bank and First Green Bank, Mr. LaRoe has launched Climate First Bank as a built to last, values based, financial institution. Our first branch opened for business on June 1, 2021, in St. Petersburg, Florida and we have since expanded into the Central Florida market.

We are looking for a Sr. Loan Documentation Specialist to will review and prepare loan documents, coordinate closings and process loan fundings.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare loan documents utilizing LaserPro.
  • Order title work and flood determinations.
  • Review attorney-prepared loan documents.
  • Coordinate closings with title agents, attorneys, loan officers and loan assistants.
  • Process loan fundings.
  • Review loan documentation post-closing and details booked to core system for accuracy and compliance within loan policy.
  • Assist with internal audits and regulatory examinations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, business or related field preferred.
  • LaserPro and Phoenix (Core System) experience preferred.
  • Prior banking experience preferred.
  • Experience with title work preferred.
  • A resourceful self-starter with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and with little oversight.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment that will require adaptability and flexibility to handle frequent routine changes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate tactfully with a variety of customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems and programs quickly.
  • Strong accounting and math skills.


Physical Demands:

* Sustained standing and sitting;

* Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor;

* Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
