As the Senior Infrastructure Administrator, you will be a strategic leader responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's critical IT infrastructure. You will leverage your extensive experience to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability, aligning infrastructure capabilities with business objectives. This role demands a proactive approach to technology adoption, a deep understanding of complex systems, and the ability to drive innovation within the infrastructure domain.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Infrastructure Planning and Design: Lead the development and execution of long-term infrastructure strategies, including capacity planning, technology roadmaps, and architecture design, to support the company's growth and evolving business needs.

  • Infrastructure Management and Optimization: Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's complex IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, storage systems, and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

  • Security Architecture and Implementation: Design and implement robust security architectures and protocols to protect the company's IT infrastructure from advanced threats, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans, conducting regular testing and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Automation and Orchestration: Drive the adoption of automation and orchestration tools and methodologies to streamline infrastructure operations, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.

  • Vendor Management and Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and select infrastructure technologies and vendors, negotiating contracts and managing relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal performance.

  • Mentorship and Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior infrastructure staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure components, configurations, and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

  • Proactive Problem Solving and Incident Management: Lead the resolution of complex infrastructure issues, implementing proactive monitoring and alerting systems to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure administration and architecture, with a proven track record of managing complex, enterprise-level environments.

  • Expert-level knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers (physical and virtual), networking (routing, switching, firewalls), storage systems (SAN, NAS), cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), and virtualization platforms.

  • Deep understanding of IT security principles, best practices, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes).

  • Proven ability to design and implement highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CISSP).

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

  • Experience with containerization and microservices architectures.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code.

What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
