Job Title: Quality Engineer Senior

Duties: Thomson Linear LLC seeks a Quality Engineer Senior in Marengo, Illinois to conduct mechanical and manufacturing engineering. Provide quality assurance for new product development. Implement failure mode and effects analysis and gage repeatability and reproducibility analysis (GR&R). Apply statistical process control (SPC) to ensure products meet quality performance standards and are manufacturable. Develop quality specifications, control plans, test plans, capability studies, procedures, tools, and metrics to control all aspects of manufacturing. Review purchase orders, contracts, and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans. Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to define and communicate design intent. Review root cause issues from returned materials for corrective action. Develop quality plans and oversee the qualification of new suppliers and raw materials. Resolve supplier quality issues. Review and analyze blueprints and design specifications for mechanical and manufacturing products. Serve as the Quality Assurance representative to the Materials Review Board (MRB). Utilize knowledge of electrical principles for developing new products. Organize, visualize, and analyze data using Microsoft Office suite and ERP programs including Oracle and SAP. Local telecommuting available up to 3 days per week. Salary: $87,547 - $144,100 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field, plus one year of mechanical and manufacturing engineering experience. Must have one year of experience in each of the following: 1. Providing quality assurance for new product development; 2. Implementing failure mode and effects analysis and gage repeatability and reproducibility analysis (GR&R); 3. Applying statistical process control (SPC) to ensure products meet quality performance standards and are manufacturable; 4. Utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to define and communicate design intent; 5. Reviewing and analyzing blueprints and design specifications for mechanical and manufacturing products; and 6. Organizing, visualizing, and analyzing data using Microsoft Office suite and ERP programs including Oracle and SAP. Education and experience may be gained concurrently.
