Your responsibilities
Job Summary The applications engineer oversees the management of business specific applications and production systems. Business specific applications may include both custom applications and/or COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) software. Production systems may include devices such as components of hand-held scan guns as well as shop-floor systems. Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides on-call support and analysis for incident management using appropriate techniques
  • Adheres to Standard Guidelines and Operating Procedures
  • Works independently with limited supervision
  • Knowledgeable of COTS best practices and IT Infrastructure
  • Develops or maintains business-specific application configurations
  • Confers with management and users for design requirements
  • Communicates technical and non-technical material effectively
  • Collecting and documenting business requirements
  • Understands and improves business processes
  • Analyzes problems and creates workflow diagrams
  • Evaluates and modifies existing systems upon request
  • Tests and implements completed configurations
  • Continuously improves operations and work processes
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Computer Science or Engineering from four-year College or university
  • Five years related technical experience and/or training
  • 35% travel based on operational demands and implementation's

Job Compensation

Compensation up to $120,000 based on experience and bonus opportunity.
