Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Assist in the development of project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Help track project progress and ensure that milestones are being met according to schedule.
  • Coordinate project tasks between teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including timelines, status reports, and meeting notes.
  • Participate in team meetings and assist in preparing project updates and reports for senior management.
  • Help identify and address any project-related issues or risks, escalating them when necessary.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support project goals, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Assist with the organization of project resources, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Support the team with any ad-hoc project-related tasks as needed.


Qualifications



  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program with a focus in Project Management.
  • Completed or in the process of completing relevant coursework in project management principles, organizational behavior, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership or involvement in managing school projects, student organizations or volunteer work.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly.
  • Detail-oriented including ability to manage and track project details and documentation.
  • Strong work ethic and motivated to contribute to the success of projects and demonstrate initiative.
  • Teamwork and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


Preferred but Not Required:



  • PMI familiarity and/or Certifications in Project Management (PMP, CAPM, CSM, CSPO, PSM, others).
  • Previous internship experience including some exposure to Project Management.
  • Familiarity with Project Management software (e.g. Microsoft Project, JIRA, Clarity, Planview, others).

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
