Your Role: Impactful, Technical and Leading

As a Pavement Project Engineer, you will lead and support significant transportation pavement projects across the Southeast and Midwest to ensure exceptional quality, safety, and timely delivery. Your expertise in pavement analysis, design, and implementation will be essential in addressing complex issues. You will also be pivotal in maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring project success and profitability. By leading and mentoring your team and managing each project phase, you will enhance efficiency, improve processes, and elevate departmental standards.



  • Lead pavement analysis, design, and implementation to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Oversee pavement testing activities, including FWD, GPR, IRI, Friction, Coring, DCP, and more.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and prepare proposals, technical reports, and invoices.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to ensure project success and profitability.
  • Manage and mentor teams, improving processes and departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for MOT, utilities, and other project needs.
  • Support marketing and business development efforts.



What We're Looking For:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mining, or a related engineering field
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license, with ability to gain licensure in other states (as needed)
  • Excellent computer skills including at a minimum, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint with the ability to learn commercial software applications
  • Proficient in pavement testing and design software, such as ProVal and MEPDG
  • Broad understanding of transportation project delivery to include planning, design, and construction
  • Ability to lead 3 to 5 professionals and engineers for the successful execution of projects



Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment:



  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions outside normal business hours, as needed
  • Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
  • Traveling out-of-town and possibly overnight for assignments as needed
