This position will be working with our block one students, creating curriculum for block 1 labs, coordinating clinicals, working with adjunct faculty, and working a few days a week with block 1 students in the lab. This position can be active in lab, simulation, and clinical. Everything from ensuring adjunct have the tools they need to assess student outcomes to running a clinical experience. Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications 1. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree plus three (3) years of experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care, or a BSN and a graduate degree and two (2) years' experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care, or a graduate degree in nursing and two (2) years of experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care. 2. Must hold an Arizona registered nurse license in good standing or multi-state privilege to practice in Arizona by the first day of employment. 3. Must be able to meet health and safety requirements, including CPR certification, Fingerprint Clearance Card, and drug testing. Desired Qualifications A. Graduate degree in Nursing B. Experience as a registered nurse with adult population C. Recent practice in lab or clinical setting with the adult population D. Experience teaching nursing students in the classroom, lab/simulation, and clinical settings in a college or nursing program. E. Experience working within a nursing lab, knowledge on curriculum alignment to clinical nursing experience, and student assessment. F. Experience working with and instructing individuals of various abilities and cultural backgrounds. Special Working Conditions Working in the classroom, lab/simulation, and various health care settings as a clinical nursing instructor, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community agencies. Must meet the health and safety standards required for clinical faculty.
