Printpack is seeking the most qualified candidate to fill the position of Machinist in the Machine Support Services (MSS) Shop located in Villa Rica, GA. This individual will report to the MSS Supervisor. Benefits: Health coverage available after 30 days of employment 401k enrollment 1st day of employment - 100% vested Paid Time Off accrual 1st year of employment and sell back option 10 Paid holidays Subsidies for uniforms, safety shoes, safety glasses Associate Discount Program Telemedicine & virtual primary care Associate Assistance Program Pet insurance Legal insurance Pay Range: $27.16 - $40.74 (+$3.00 per hour travel premium) Shop Schedule: M-F 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (Flexible schedule on field projects may include overtime, nights, weekends) Minimum Qualifications: HS diploma or GED equivalent is required A minimum of five (5) years with machine shop equipment including 3 axis vertical mill, lathe, surface grinder, band saw A minimum of two (2) years of CNC lathe programming, set-up, and operations Understanding of G & M code programming Ability to read blueprints and schematics Willing to respond to off-hours problems Ability to maintain shop equipment Ability to work individually, and in a team environment to complete required tasks Must be able to travel up to 25%, sometimes on short notice as needed Willingness to learn field service tasks: drum repair, drum resurfacing, optical alignment, and machine installation and rigging Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and have the ability to obtain a passport Must be able to safely perform assigned tasks when in the field at elevated heights Preferred Skills: Welding experience Knowledge of electrical, Pneumatic, hydraulic systems, Mastercam software Experience with Okuma machine tools Internal Applicants: Must not have disciplinary action Written or higher in last 120 days Must have received 'Performer' or higher on last performance review Must be in current position at least 120 days and cannot be on probation Must not be on a Performance Improvement Plan Key Responsibilities: Set up, program, operate CNC controlled machinery Measure dimensions within tolerances for the fabrication of machine parts and equipment specifications Familiarity with machine and equipment alignment Familiar with different metal and steel types and their compatibility in different applications of machining Promote Maintenance and Total Plant Safety Maintain employee morale and promote active communication within the Department.
