DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this role, you will manage and execute plumbing projects of all sizes from start to finish. This involves designing the project layout and schedule, assessing material and labor requirements, and coordinating with other trades as needed. Prepare the site for work, oversee and direct plumbers and other tradespeople, and keep track of project timelines. Address any challenges that arise during the project and conduct inspections upon completion to verify quality and functionality. The work includes new construction as well as repairs and maintenance of existing structures at Fort Indiantown Gap.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Five years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing components and fixtures including two years performing plumbing installation and repair assignments independently in commercial, industrial, or multi-unit residential structures; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years performing plumbing installation and repair assignments independently in commercial, industrial, or multi-unit residential structures.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- This position requires you to possess, at the time of application, or obtain, within 18 months of the date of hire, a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators as a water or wastewater operator that is equal to or greater than Class E, Subclass 1. Certification must be continuously maintained for the duration of employment in the position.
Additional Requirements:
- You must pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Completion of formal training in the plumbing trade.
- Previous experience as a plumber.
- Previous experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or repair of water main breaks and the sanitizing of water mains due to main breaks.
- Previous experience in the maintenance, repair, and/or replacement of underground water mains and/or sewage lines.
- Previous experience in the installation and/or connection of service lines to water or sewage mains.
- Previous experience working in hazardous conditions such as confined space, electrical currents, chemical exposure, etc.
