Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Reliability Technician on the Reliability team to conduct cell and module battery teardowns to facilitate failure analysis. As part of the Reliability team, you will work closely with engineers to complete detailed teardown and inspections of battery modules that have undergone a variety of electrochemical and environmental testing.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a significant and daily impact on cutting-edge battery technology that will revolutionize the electric grid and bring major improvements to grid reliability and sustainability.

This role will require hands-on work in the lab and ability to collaborate with a cross functional team to ensure high quality testing and results.

What You'll Do:

  • Work hands-on (manual drill, hand-held power tools, etc.) to conduct cell & module tear-downs critical to failure analysis.

  • Document inspection findings by collecting pictures and summarizing the results in a database.

  • Maintain lab equipment, and be a champion of safety.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years experience as a technician in a technology field

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

  • Experience using and maintaining tools and lab instruments

  • Comfortable working with chemicals and wearing PPE

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort using Gsuite tools (Gmail, Google Docs, etc.)

  • A positive get-it-done attitude!
