Finance ERP Business Process Owner

The Finance ERP Business Process Owner works in the Corporate Finance department and in coordination with the Enterprise Resource Planning team in the Information Technology department. The position is responsible for strategic governance, planning, and execution activities surrounding the Workday Financial Management and Adaptive Planning systems. The position aligns the technology and business team's strategies, systems, and requirement definitions for key business objectives. Reporting directly the Corporate Controller, the Finance ERP Business Process Owner is responsible for financial data management and integrity, system configuration and maintenance, report writing, and system optimization.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field.

Experience

5+ years' experience in Workday financial administration, with a deep understanding of Workday Financials modules, Adaptive Planning, and Report Writing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning System Configuration and Maintenance

  • Responsible for configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning
  • Oversee data governance within Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all modules
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the systems meet the business needs and supports strategic financial initiatives
  • Configure and maintain Workday Financials modules and Adaptive Planning to align with the organization's financial processes and reporting requirements, including but not limited to ledger accounts, worktags, company and cost center hierarchies, account posting rules, custom validations, and intercompany elimination rules.
  • Develop and implement best practices for Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning system use, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the system, recommending and executing configuration changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist the Enterprise Resource Planning team in the management of data imports and exports, providing support for data integration with other systems
  • Conduct regular reviews of security permissions, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning Report Writing

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide necessary data and reports to achieve business objectives
  • Analyze reporting requirements to determine development methods, development templates, and report design
  • Design and develop various types of advanced Workday reports from Workday HCM/Payroll and Financials data
  • Build and maintain calculated fields in Workday
  • Use best practices and industry standards in developing custom reports
  • Actively participate in Workday Community by researching, contributing to content, voting on Brainstorms, etc.
  • Workday Matrix and Composite Reports development

Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning Optimization

  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the Workday Financial modules and Adaptive Planning effectively.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users, addressing issues promptly and documenting resolutions.
  • Lead or support various projects related to the enhancement and optimization of Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning, including new module deployments, upgrades, and process re-engineering
  • Stay current on Workday updates and new features, assessing their impact on the organization and recommending adoption strategies where appropriate
  • Serve as a liaison between Finance, IT, and other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives

Pay Range

$84,732.81 - $152,519.07

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
