Under supervision, performs a variety of public contact services involving the collection of fees at entry gate and other administrative tasks in support of park visitors and staff. Reports to a Parks & Recreation Supervisor.
This is a temporary part time position that will be required to work weekends and holidays. The position will run from May 17, 2025 through September 1, 2025.
Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Greets visitors; opens up the kiosk for daily operation
Responsible for daily pickup and/or deposit of funds
Collects parks fees
Provides accurate change
Issues receipts
Accurately maintains deposit logs and accounts for all revenue collecting during the shift
Responds to visitors questions and assists park users
Conveys park rules and regulations
Communicates with staff and public safety officials during emergency situations
Conducts litter pick up at gate area
Reports public hazards
performs related duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications & Requirements
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. Must be 18 years of age or older. May require possession of a valid driver's license. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
