Day & Zimmermann is currently seeking an Estimator / Project Manager to support the Welding Services team. This will be a remote, core staff, benefited role with potential for job site travel.

As the Estimator / Project Manager, here's the work you'll do:

- Coordinate allocation of project resources and responsible for day-to-day direction required to lead the project team. Coordinate with all other functional leaders to ensure project staffing needs are understood and being met.

- Develop and manage the project risk register. Track, review and regulate the progress and performance of site activities, identify area of changes required and initiate the changes.

- Perform detailed quantity take off's from drawings and weld docs.

- Produce total cost estimates for client to support their allocation of budgets for expenses and capital projects. Determine labor hours and dollars for engineering, procurement, maintenance, modifications, and construction activities.

- Work with database on applying unit rates to direct work activities and interface with construction /operations on applying productivity factors and input on indirect construction/operations costs.

- Project Management capabilities as required.

- Ability to develop detailed RFQ's for subcontractors and vendors.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

- Ability to quickly problem solve and produce solutions and strategies

- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders and demonstrate excellent communication skills

- Clearly and consistently gets information across in a timely and effective manner both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates the ability to influence people and get them to take appropriate action.

- Great attitude and team player.

- Weld process experience.

- Excellent organizational skills with time management, delegation, planning, goal setting and decision making

And if you have these qualifications:

- Ten (10+) years of related work experience in a Maintenance/Modification or Construction environment or a bachelor's degree in related field of study preferred.

- PMP certification preferred.

- Weld Engineering experience a plus.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $95,000- $171,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, scheduler type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
