MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will promote a safe working environment. Understands and adheres to all Silgan safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and co-workers.
- Will have the immediate responsibility to verify inventory transactions and production.
- Will Investigate and resolve unusual and unique discrepancies in the inventory and recommend changes to prevent recurrences
- Will be responsible for conducting inventory cycle counts on monthly and semi-annual basis to ensure accurate finished goods inventory.
- Will promote a "teamwork" atmosphere by assisting where needed in housekeeping, organizing, packing, transporting corrugated, erecting corrugated and forklift operations for production, shipping and receiving.
- Will be responsible for organizing finished goods in the warehouse and providing instructions to forklift operators on locations for finished goods to be produced to.
- Assists in monitoring the shipping window. Ensures correct paperwork is provided to the correct driver. Ensures drivers are in the correct docking doors and that trailers are safe to load.
- Assists in preparing paperwork for UPS, LTL, full truck load and international shipments.
- Ensures warehouse staff follows FIFO on all products, reserving product, printing pick slips, printing COA's for every lot used on each order, having paperwork in the correct order for loading. Makes sure the warehouse team is aware of what and when each delivery needs to be loaded.
- Assist receiving clerk with receipt of raw materials, factory supplies and bulk resin deliveries.
- Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
- Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts/conditions.
- Effectively use verbal and written communications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
