Functions as Business Operations Senior Analyst in Administration for the Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research (IBMR) under the direct supervision of the IBMR Director. Provides the Director with operational programming, strategies, and process improvements. Provides administrative guidance and support to the Director in alignment with training and mentorship to the 20+ research labs consisting of 100+ faculty, learners, and staff members representing 4 colleges. Supports IBMR Director with conference, symposia and lecture series planning and execution. Works with the Director to visualize, develop amp; establish strategic plans, innovative initiatives amp; long-term goals amp; objectives to support the mission of the IBMR. Develops, oversees and administers institute governance policy and procedures. Oversees the daily operational activities including fiscal, human resources, marketing and communications, compliance, and space and facilities management activities. Oversees the management of operating and capital budgets and projections; conceptualizes and develops business plans for new programs or services; oversees audits of research operations, space, and assets to ensure compliance; oversees the transition for newly hired institute members. Creates reports utilized for the strategic planning, analysis and ongoing operations of colleges and units. Exercises tact and diplomacy with confidential information. Uses word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software to draft correspondence, presentations, agendas, reports and other materials. Manages one or more direct reports. Cultivates relationships to produce optimal results. May draft responses to inquiries. Maintains electronic and paper filing systems. A specialized individual contributor, results are primarily achieved through individual effort, or project/teams effort working with authority and autonomy. Influences and reviews the work of others. May be the primary owner/authority on a given program or process. Requires the application of specialized expertise within a profession to achieve results. Emphasizes in-depth knowledge, project management, and influencing skills. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Additional Education Desired Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. Required Qualifications 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. The position requires a senior, fully experienced professional. Serves as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues. Applies industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principals, and technical capabilities to perform tasks and projects. Works on complex projects of large scope; may refer to precedents and defined parameters. Completes routine work independently; receives general guidance on new projects. Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives. Exchanges information on sensitive matters. Works to build consensus. In-office presence required, with the potential for some flexibility.
