Department of Plant Science & Technology Job Description
The University of Missouri is seeking a Research and Engagement Field Coordinator to lead farmer-driven on-farm research and engagement initiatives aimed at improving agronomic and economic outcomes while advancing the adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices across Missouri. This full-time (100% FTE) position, based at the Greenley Research Center, Northern Missouri Research, Extension, and Education Center in Novelty, MO, has statewide responsibilities and is fully grant-funded for a duration of up to four years. About the Role As a key part of the university's recently funded USDA Sustainable Agricultural Systems (SAS) grant, the Community Outreach Representative will support a collaborative, multi-institutional effort to enhance the adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices (CSAPs). This project, in partnership with Central State University, Ohio State University, and Lincoln University, seeks to boost carbon sequestration, improve water quality, and address other critical environmental goals. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in agricultural or environmental science, social science, or related field. Anticipated Hiring Range
Hiring Range: $18.50 -$24.34/hour. Application Materials
