Omron Automation Americas is looking for an energetic and high-potential Manager, Channel Sales Team to drive both strategic and tactical actions to increase sales of Omron automation products within selected Omron channel partners throughout the US and Canada. In this role you will lead a team of Channel Sales Managers.

Responsibilities:



  • Manage a group of Channel Sales Managers assigned to Regional and National Distributors and Systems Integrators.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the CSM team on the execution of Omron's Channel Strategy.
  • Work with Channel GM to assign responsibility for Strategic National and Strategic Regional distributors, Territory and Value Add Resellers and other partners as required to Channel Sales Managers.
  • Create Sales and Marketing Campaign tactics that the CSM team can roll out to partners.
  • Maintain high level relations with Certified System Integrators, Distributors and other partners.
  • Meet with CSM team on a regular basis to establish CSM objectives and drive the completion of these objectives via a PDCA process.
  • Establish Partner growth objectives for Stocked Products and establish objectives for marketing program execution and partner competency development.
  • Develop a framework for assessing all-round partner performance and evaluate partners against this framework to ensure that Omron's interests are given the required level of attention appropriate to the status afforded to the partner.
  • Monitor and contribute to the development plans of the CSM team and ensure that the team is equipped with the expertise and tools required to successfully manage and build our relationships with partners.
  • Accompany CSMs on partner visits for the purpose of developing, monitoring, and supporting the CSM team as needed.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, Marketing or similar field required or sufficient experience that contributes to the role.
  • At least 5-7 years sales experience within Automation. Extensive experience with limited and saturation distribution models, distribution agreements and working with third party partners to sell and market Industrial Automation products and solutions.
  • 5+ years managing a team
  • Sales experience with some or all of the following products: Machine Vision Systems, Motion Control (Servos, Drives, Controllers and Motors), PLC/HMI (hardware, software and interfaces), Components (Sensors, Relays and Switches), Safety (Light Curtains, Controllers, Sensors and E-Stops) and Auto ID (Barcode and RFID) within Automation.
  • Ability to travel 75%


The annual base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $168,000 a year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
