We are seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to assist with daily operations for recruiting Associates, Attorneys, and Of Counsel, as well as Summer Associates and first-year lawyers, through all phases of recruitment and onboarding processes and assist on planning orientations and facilitating the integration program for all new hires. The coordinator may also provide support for additional projects as needed, including: evaluation processes, training and professional development programs, exit and stay interviews, reports to the firm's leaders and Attorney Career Advancement communications. The Recruiting Coordinator reports to the Manager of Legal Recruiting and will work closely with the entire Attorney Career Advancement Team to ensure the successful recruitment, onboarding, and integration of the Firm's lawyers. This hybrid position offers a work schedule of 3 days a week in the Philadelphia office, Tuesday through Thursday, with additional days required as needed.

Your Role:

The Recruiting Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Partner in Charge, Attorney Career Advancement, Firmwide Hiring Partners, Client Service & Professional Development Counsel and Director of Legal Recruiting on activities connected with the recruiting, on-boarding and integration of lawyers across 18 offices.

As a Recruiting Coordinator within our Attorney Career Advancement Team, you will:

  • Assist with applications and recruiting data entry and updates in Flo Recruit, respond to candidates regarding application status, and prepare fee agreements for recruiting agencies.

  • Post and promote open positions on job boards.

  • Schedule interviews and ensure Ballard lawyers have the information they need to participate in interviews and make timely and informed recommendations.

  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including monitoring the collection of required pre-arrival paperwork.

  • Maintain recruiting data and respond to internal and external surveys.

Required Experience:

A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one to two years relevant experience are required. Prior experience in legal recruiting is a plus. A high degree of proficiency in the firm's computer applications and document management system, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocuments, Elite, Workday and other practice area databases, as appropriate. Experience with Flo Recruit is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating, building and fostering working relationships with candidates, internal and external presenters, lawyers, and staff.
