Sunbelt Supply is a global provider of flow control solutions. We maintain one of the largest and most diversified selections of valves, actuators, actuation accessories and specialty PFF in North America, comprised of more than 50 major manufacturers. We provide in-house valve automation services, including CAD design and drawings, machine, fabrication, assembly shops featuring CNC machinery, and automation repair work. The Outside Sales Director is responsible for leading and executing the overall sales strategy across all Sunbelt areas and territories. The Director will focus on driving revenue growth by overseeing the sales team's efforts, cultivating key relationships with key accounts, and identifying new market opportunities. The role requires a strong leadership presence and the ability to align sales initiatives with corporate goals to achieve sustained success. Ensures that the sales team meets performance targets and delivers exceptional customer service, while maintaining high levels of satisfaction across existing and prospective clients. Leads new business development efforts, manages sales cycles, and helps sales teams close deals.

Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the performance of a team of Area Managers, Territory Managers, Key Account Managers and Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to expand market share and achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations and develop long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and market trends, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure optimal sales results.
  • Promote the use of new ways of working including use of opportunity management and account planning systems.
  • Develop ongoing training programs for sales teams.
  • Manage sales forecasts and track revenue growth in line with corporate goals.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales activities, successes, challenges, and progress toward goals to senior management.

A must...

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Extensive experience in B2B sales, consultative selling, and solution selling.
  • Strong understanding of product offerings and ability to articulate their value to customers.
  • Ability to manage key accounts, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth.
  • Experience in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting.
