Responsibilities

    Support a NOC/Command Center on-site for 2nd or 3rd shift.
  • Assists in the support of incident response and recovery activities for business or technology disruptions, including those caused by cyber-attacks, natural disaster, man-made disaster, and other crisis scenarios at all times as necessitated by the disruption.
  • Support restoration services such as restarting servers, processes and or tools.
  • Identify when an event qualifies as needing a disaster mitigation or a disaster recovery response.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Willingness to train on DR processes.
  • Validate and test Infrastructure Operations (IO) Incident response.
  • Assist with the orchestration of actions during DM/DR event and report as required.


Qualifications

  • Must be able to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by support tools and implement corrective actions quickly.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other.
  • Requires System Admin skills/background.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years' work experience
  • Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total)

Clearance:

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation

Location:

  • Department of Veteran's Affairs (100% On-site)
  • Saturday - Tuesday (9:00 PM - 7:30 AM CST Time)
