Job Description

Repack of materials/product ensuring no damage. If damaged, fill out a QA HOLD tag correctly and the Team Leader or Supervisor is to be notified. All tags and labeling is transferred to new containers. Perform inventory transactions using RF scanners.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Maintain 5S in all work areas.
  • Fill out and keep a daily forklift check sheet.
  • Insure all racks are loaded correctly.
  • Check seatbelts on all containers and fasten before storing.
  • Scan all containers to verify location container is sitting at and qty matches label.
  • Transfer parts with hand held scanner to C05A17 when storing in the racks.
  • Reclass containers when partials have been combined in assembly.
  • Call in red lights to the tool crib and any other issues with the racks.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to on-coming shifts to ensure smooth shift transfers.
  • When assigned duties are completed work other team members to accomplish their duties.
  • Maintain responsibility of assigned scanners.
  • Work on rack variances and bin full/bin empty locations when needed.
  • Do rack audits when necessary.
  • Communicate to Shipping Lead any issues with the racks.


The items listed above are NOT all inclusive and when these items are satisfied, you will be expected to help in other areas of the Department. When, what and where will be determined as it is needed.



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:




  • 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous sit down fork lift experience preferred
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to multitask
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • High School Diploma

Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:




  • Lift and Carry: Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally, including lifting materials onto or off of the forklift.
  • Standing & Walking: Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances, often on concrete or uneven surfaces and up and down steps.
  • Repetitive Motion: Capable of performing repetitive tasks, including grasping, lifting, twisting, bending, and operating controls of the forklift.
  • Hand-eye coordination: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, and controls and make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
  • Fine Motor Skills: Ability to use manual dexterity to operate levers, buttons, and controls
  • Vision & Attention to Detail: good close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus and ensure safe operations, including reading gauges and safety indicators.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to maintain focus and physical energy throughout the workday, which may include handling loads, stacking, and organizing materials in a fast-paced environment.
  • Balance & Mobility: Must have good balance and be able to move freely in tight spaces while operating the forklift
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in various conditions including outdoor settings and in warehouse environments with varying temperatures.
