Responsibilities



  • Equipment Installation: Assist with the assembly, uncrating, and positioning of commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Equipment Inspections: Ensure equipment operates correctly, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Transportation: Drive a service and delivery truck to transport equipment, using a lift-gate for safe loading and unloading.
  • Customer Support: Resolve customer issues, maintain clear communication, and follow up on requests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist other branch employees and service technicians as needed.



Qualifications



  • High School diploma/GED or related experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work safely with mechanical/electrical equipment
  • Basic skills in welding, hydraulics, and/or electrical systems
  • Understanding of mechanical troubleshooting techniques
  • Basic plumbing and soldering knowledge
  • Familiarity with CO2 and Freon systems
  • Customer service skills, including issue resolution and communication
  • Ability to manage expense reports and travel budgets
  • Willingness to become a Service/Repair Technician in the future
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus



Physical Requirements



  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs with or without assistance
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 8 ft (working on roofs may be required)
  • Extensive driving (5-6 hours/day)
  • Ability to kneel, squat, bend, and push/pull
  • Tolerance for noise, heat, cold, and slippery conditions
  • Willingness to travel for overnight and multiple-day job assignments
