Job Description

Your role at Baxter

Responsible for conducting on-the-job and group training utilizing experience, established procedures, processes and techniques to ensure employees have the skills needed to perform their job function to their fullest capability.

What you'll be doing

  • Trains on Technical Assembly processes related to documentation, quality and materials defect handling processes.
  • Responsible for training and evaluating job proficiency and skills so that an employee can perform their job safely and efficiently.
  • Trains employees on documented procedures and process to manufacture high quality product per company procedures.
  • Trainer communicates to employee on expected rate after release from training, focusing on product quality standards during the training period.
  • Accurately records all observations and training records data, corrects and retrains unacceptable performance.
  • Ensures trainee is clear on identifying and correcting non-conformance and non-compliance processes, taking the proper steps to bring product into a state of acceptable quality standards.
  • Ensures process control and procedures are being followed.
  • Will correct and coach poor workmanship or technique following process control and procedures.
  • Trains trainee using documented procedures for required processes associated with trainee's assigned job.
  • Completes and properly documents evaluations of trainees, promptly communicating any issues to the Lead Trainer and area Manager.
  • During on the Job Training (OJT), identifies if trainee is not successfully improving, over the designated job duration and provides timely reports to the Lead Trainer and area Manager.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Lead Trainer and area Manager of Production.
  • Self-motivates to expand individual knowledge, contributing to the training and Manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge and working application of requirements.
  • Ability to visually inspect and identify particulate/foreign matter and distinguish between colors as required by FDA Current Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Ability to: stand or walk for long periods, lift and carry at least 20 pounds, perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers.
  • Previous training experience a plus.
  • Previous Floater experience with a minimum 4 job skills a plus.
  • Good math and reading skills.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk the production line(s) for much of the workday. Additionally, this employee is required to work at line workstations as a fill in as needed. The employee must have good hand to eye coordination and dexterity to assemble products.
  • Physical Requirements: Dynamic Lifting capability: Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds from floor to waist, lift 23 pounds to shoulder and lift 2 pounds from shoulder to overhead.

This is a manufacturing environment regulated by the FDA and many other work rules to prevent damage to the product we manufacture. Some of those work rules include but are not limited to:

  • Wearing a static protective smock always while in the work area
  • Wearing a ground wrist strap and plugging that wrist strap into the working table.
  • Working in close proximity to other employees.
  • Working in an environment that is temperature and humidity controlled
