Acentra Health is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

Acentra Health is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our AI & Analytics team to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for AI and Analytics-driven initiatives. You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that solutions align with organizational goals and are effectively designed to enhance efficiency, productivity, and decision-making.

Along with your core business analysis responsibilities, you will support project management efforts and occasionally step into the role of project manager for smaller or limited-scope initiatives. By defining clear scopes, managing timelines, and coordinating cross-functional teams, you will help deliver high-quality AI and Analytics solutions that drive measurable impact across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and translate business, functional, and technical requirements into clear user stories, process flows, and system requirements
  • evaluate existing workflows, capture and document potential efficiencies, and recommend enhancements. Propose data-driven improvements leveraging AI and analytics to optimize processes and reduce costs
  • Work closely with data scientists, software developers, and AI/ML experts to validate requirements, address technical challenges, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), develop test cases, and validate solutions against requirements. Track issues and oversee resolution to facilitate a smooth rollout
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including functional specifications and user guides. Deliver end-user training and support to promote adoption of new tools and processes
  • Develop project plans, set milestones, and establish timelines in partnership with relevant stakeholders. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and communicate updates to ensure on-time delivery
  • Facilitate regular meetings, provide project updates, and manage stakeholder expectations effectively. Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams
  • Stay informed of industry trends, AI/analytics advancements, and best practices in project management. Contribute to refining methodologies, tools, and standards within the team

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered

  • 3+ years of professional experience in business analysis, technical analysis, or related fields

  • Proven track record of documenting complex business processes and translating them into actionable technical requirements

  • Proven experience identifying common patterns and opportunities across multiple projects, aligning use cases to maximize efficiency and impact

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects through full lifecycle, including scope definition, scheduling, risk management and resource coordination

  • Familiarity with AI, data analytics, or data-driven projects essential

  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SmartSheet)

  • Experience data analytics methodologies and tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau)

  • Ability to perform or support software testing and process documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry or government health and human services program experience

  • Familiarity with process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL) to support process discovery, creation, and improvement

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and frameworks

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
