Job Summary:

The full-time marketing and communication copywriter, reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, will be primarily responsible for producing content through writing within the Department of Community and Communication. Acts as a writer, editor and proofreader for marketing collateral such as web copy, digital and print collateral, electronic communications, social media, digital activities and other related communications activities. Uses written persuasion for promotionally driven pieces. Responsible for bringing the Klein brand to life through clear and descriptive copy highlighting the unique, differentiating selling points of the college. Articulates the programmatic and curricular benefits of the departmental offerings at the college. Works both independently and collaboratively, communicating effectively with team members. Ensures copy is on-brand, on-message and proofed before seeking final approval. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and two years of directly related experience. Social media experience coordinating and managing various channels. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:



  • Meticulous editing and proofreading skills with expertise in AP writing style.
  • Proven ability to write engaging, original copy for a wide range of marketing communications including email, web, direct mail, print ads, and video portfolio.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email automation and social media tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize projects to meet internal deadlines.


Preferred:



  • Fields of study to include English, journalism, communications or advertising.
