THE POSITION

This position gives you the opportunity to perform administrative work in the management of properties including fiscal services, property management, as well as occupancy and resident selection. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This is administrative work in the management of a property or properties of a housing authority. An employee in this class is responsible for the management and efficient operation of an assigned property or properties in accordance with procedures of the housing authority and federal regulations. Work involves a variety of administrative functions such as collection and accounting for rents and other charges, preparation and maintenance of reports and accounts, interior and exterior unit inspections, and participation in the budgetary process for the authority. Work also involves functions related to the social aspects of property management and requires constant coordination with staff members of the authority. Work is performed with considerable independence subject to review by an administrative superior through conferences and review of reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One (1) year of experience in performing tasks associated with the management of multi-family housing developments, or properties owned or administered by public housing agencies; or
  • One (1) year of comparable business, industrial, or professional employment; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Washington County. If no eligible candidates who live within Washington County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
