Location: Troy, MI

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Architect with 12 to 16 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Google Cloud Platform Docker Container Jenkins Apigee and other related technologies. This role involves designing and implementing robust cloud solutions ensuring security protocols and optimizing performance. The work model is hybrid with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of Docker Containers to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Provide expertise in Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Manage and optimize Apigee API management solutions including APIGEE Integration APIGEE API Hub APIGEE Hybrid APIGEE OPDK and APIGEE X.
  • Implement and maintain Anthos Service Mesh for microservices management and security.
  • Ensure robust authentication and authorization mechanisms using Google IAM Ping Federate and other security protocols.
  • Utilize Swagger Hub for API design and documentation ensuring consistency and compliance with standards.
  • Implement and manage DevOps practices to enhance development efficiency and collaboration.
  • Oversee data caching strategies to improve application performance and reduce latency.
  • Utilize Google Cloud Armor and Google Firewalls to enhance security and protect against threats.
  • Conduct REST / API service testing using Postman and other tools to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Implement OAuth and JSON Web Token (JWT) for secure API authentication.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and scaling.
  • Ensure the security of cloud infrastructure and applications through best practices and regular audits.
  • Utilize load balancers to distribute traffic and ensure high availability of services.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality.
  • Provide guidance on the use of GIT for version control and collaboration.
  • Utilize Javascript and PHP for backend development and integration tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards including SAML.

Qualifications

  • Must have extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform Docker Container Jenkins Apigee and related technologies.
  • Must have strong knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms including Google IAM and Ping Federate.
  • Must have experience with data caching load balancers and security protocols.
  • Must have expertise in REST API development and testing using tools like Postman.
  • Must have experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Must have strong knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Nice to have experience in Investment Banking & Brokerage Investment Banking Operations and Cards & Payments domains.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a hybrid work model.

Certifications Required

Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Apigee Certified API Engineer

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $129,000/Year to $152,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
