POSITION TITLE: Project Controls Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Project Controls Manager to oversee critical administrative functions within the entire Project Controls group. Project Controls provides administrative support on various functions of the Project Management lifecycle including billing, permitting, close out and production tracking. This position will be a subject matter expert of all processes and procedures within the department, while overseeing a team of Project Support administrators including production, performance, standardization, and development. The ideal candidate will have extensive administrative knowledge and experience, possess a high level of attention to detail and people management skills, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Direct manager of two or more project support team members, including but not limited to, hiring, time management, performance management, development, etc.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert for all Project Controls job functions; can problem solve through all escalated issues and train and develop the team through all progression opportunities
  • High level of professionalism and communication skills; problem solves at a high-level for internal stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors, etc.
  • Creates and holds weekly staff and production meetings with their entire team
  • Highly interdependent with operations teams and leaders; provides regular reporting on various items including close out status, invoicing results, production trends, etc.
  • Oversees and drives process standards within the operations regions they support
  • Acts as the strategic liaison between permitting, design, engineering, and construction teams when requested; facilitating meetings, problem solving, reporting, and/or other various project administration functions
  • Manages the creation of project tracking databases; both internal and customer required
  • Oversees the locating, easement and permitting process needed for successfully setting up various construction projects
  • Ability to review and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of regulations driven by local and state municipalities (public safety, traffic control, right of ways, etc.)
  • Performs other position duties when requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • This position operates out of a temperature-controlled office environment
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, copy/fax, and smartphones


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:



  • 5+ years of high-level administrative experience required
  • 2+ years of people management experience, including remote and in person teams required
  • Previous experience supporting construction, engineering, and/or procurement teams preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
