Job Description

The Manager, Treasury Operations focuses on safeguarding the cash assets of the Company and improving treasury processes in both the U.S. and Canada. They are responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline, centralize, consolidate, eliminate, and automate business processes and controls. The manager supports solving business problems by building improved processing capabilities, creating efficiencies in the processes while aligning with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements and accounting requirements. The Manager, Treasury Operations is responsible for reporting cash assets to the accounting team and senior management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

  • Manage all existing banking relationships and support initiating new banking relationships when needed
  • Assist in cash forecasting, single-family rental asset and capital structure modeling, and working capital planning activities
  • Oversee preparation of daily cash position, monthly account summary and other accounting and reporting needs
  • Lead and manage new treasury projects and process improvement/efficiency initiatives such as implementing treasury software and establishing banking and bill pay connectivity
  • Lead transitions on banking, new ACH/EFT, and other setups for acquisitions, developments and new managed properties
  • Manage the treasury operations team and oversee all treasury operations processes including all service-related requests
  • Utilize tools such as Excel and Power BI to prepare and analyze weekly and monthly cash flows, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making on credit facility draws
  • Provide detailed variance analysis and write ups for internal and external financial reporting
  • Gather and analyze cash balance information to report on liquidity positions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting records
  • Work directly with Accounting Services, Internal Control and Business Transformation to understand issues, and collaborate with colleagues and other departments to proactively and efficiently reach business objectives
  • Assist with special and ad-hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills, including developing project plans, managing execution, and successful implementation

  • Strong Treasury systems knowledge and experience in systems management and process improvement through automation

  • Strong financial reporting and accounting background

  • Strong desire to challenge the status quo and improve processes

  • Ability to analyze complex data and synthesize into simple concepts

  • Understands and applies procedures, regulations, and policies related to areas of specialized expertise

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with other Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in roles with direct exposure to corporate treasury functions

  • Experience working with treasury management systems like Kyriba, GTreasury etc.

  • 2+ years of experience in a manager or supervisor role

Preferred Attributes:

  • BA in Finance or a related field or equivalent work experience will be considered

  • CPA, CFA, or MBA designation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Experience with SOX and internal control design, compliance and effectiveness testing are a strong asset

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.

$86,860.00 - $144,760.00
