Java Technical Lead (On site)

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Java, Springboot, JUnit5, and Spring Framework. This role encompasses leadership responsibilities, including different planning strategies. By ensuring robust and efficient system operations, the candidate will play a key role in advancing our company's mission.

Location: Portsmouth, NH - USA (On site)

• Lead the design and development of software solutions using Spring Boot and Java.
• Oversee the implementation of design patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable code.
• Provide expertise in JUnit5 for unit testing and ensure high-quality code.
• Apply YAML for configuration management and ensure consistency across environments.
• Implement and maintain JSON and XML data structures for seamless data exchange.
• Manage source code using GIT and ensure proper version control practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure the software solutions are compatible with Linux environments.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
• Ensure that software solutions align with business requirements and company goals.

• BS/BA degree or an equivalent 8+ years of experience with hands on development experience.
• Strong technical background in JUnit5, Design Patterns, YAML, Spring Boot, Java, JSON, GIT, XML, Spring Framework.
• Linux. Experience is a plus.
• Property & Casualty Insurance.

The annual salary for this position is between $70k - $117K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
