Business Technology Intern

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.

Assist in the development of internal tools and capabilities focused on Generative AI, process automation, and other technologies.
• Collaborate with individual employees, cross-functional teams, and various business units
• Learn about AMERICAN SYSTEMS' corporate environment, what drives projects, and how such projects benefit the company.
• Apply what's learned during technical work to understand how it fits into a bigger business picture

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
• 1 year of practical and/or academic experience in research, data entry and analysis, or reporting
• Knowledge of the basics of Generative AI, Machine Learning, and other relevant technologies
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, etc.
• Experience with research and technical writing
• An interest and curiosity in technological potential and drive to advance technology
