This position reports to the Engineering Program Manager and performs the function of Production Engineering including dimensional and part/metallurgical engineering responsibilities to aid in the production of investment castings. Incumbent is responsible for the development and optimization of all assigned product and strive to produce high quality, statistically repeatable investment castings. Incumbent plans and conducts research and/or development of products, processes, plans and procedures. Designs methods to improve efficiency in production, reduce process variability and assure compliance with production constraints and quality standards. Must exercise discretion, independent judgment, and urgency in the evaluation and execution of possible courses of actions. Effective decisions will result in successful part programs and considerable financial benefit to the company. Incumbent must work with the manufacturing employees and operations leaders to identify and define quality and production obstacles and to successfully implement effective solutions. Incumbent will work with a team of other engineers and/or technicians on an ongoing basis or as needed for the term of assigned projects. PRODUCTION ENGINEER
