The Site Safety Manager is responsible for promoting and ensuring site safety and has a comprehensive knowledge for the day-to-day safety field operations for their assigned project(s) including planning, coordinating, and enforcing safety regulations and codes while serving as the company's point of contact for owners, subcontractors, regulatory agencies and Webcor team for all safety related matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensures project safety goals and expectations are realistic, achievable, and revisited/revised at appropriate times during the life of the project * Serves as company interface between Owner-Subcontractors-Regulatory Agencies-Webcor Team and is responsible for developing safety leadership, motivation, education and communication with each entity * Manage and coordinate substance abuse testing and set up medical clinics for new jobsites * Facilitate mass safety meetings and required weekly tailgate safety meetings TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED * Intermediate to advanced computer skills with the ability to use MS Office with proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint) * Extensive working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA standards or other applicable codes * Demonstrated construction safety experience with solid industrial hygiene field skill set REQUIRED BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES * Ability to address an audience of various sizes and effectively communicate his/her message and ideas * Ability to write clear and detailed concise thoughts in a professional manner * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to both tradesmen and management. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE * Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or above certification (ASP/CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) * Possession of a valid driver license Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk, generally up to 7 hours per day and occasionally standing and walking. The repetitive motion using hands with constant keyboarding and physical use of vision to read computer monitors and paper documents. Regularly required to use hands to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, fax machine). Occasionally required to stoop, kneel and lift up to 15 pounds. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate to loud. This is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis.
